Brewfest FAQ

What is a BrewFest and how does it work?
The BrewFest is a fantastic beer sampling event primarily featuring microbrews. Attendees receive a commemorative tasting glass and the first four samples are included in your entrance price (assuming you’re 21 or older). The glass is 6.75 oz. and will be filled accordingly, giving you a 5-6oz. pour. Beers will cost between 1-2 tickets depending on the beer you’re drinking. Additional tickets can be purchased for $1.00 per ticket.

Why isn’t this event unlimited tasting?
For many reasons, however Virginia ABC laws do not allow for “all-you-can-drink” events.

When is the last beer poured?
Beer pouring stops one hour prior to the close of the festival.

Will any of the beer run out?
Probably some but never all! Seriously, the popularity of some beers and the supply challenges of  craft brewing make it impossible to guarantee that a beer will be available the entire weekend.

How can I find a brewery or beer?
Large site layouts (2′x3′) showing the location of the various breweries will be posted in strategic locations within the festival site.  The site is not huge and if all else fails, ask a staff member (navy t-shirt with Brew Crew on the back!)

Is my ticket good for both days?
Your ticket is good for one day only, however which day you choose to come is up to you. NOTE: from time to time special discounted tickets may be available for a specific day.

Is there a rain date?
NEVER! The Brewfest is a rain or shine event. True beer connoisseurs will raise a glass in celebration of God providing nourishment to the world supply of hops!

Where do I park?
There is plenty of free parking and attendants will direct you when you arrive at the festival.

Do you have a Designated Driver Ticket program?
Yes, the DD program is available for attendees 16 and older and they will be provided free water and soda.

Is there an ATM at the festival?
Yes, an ATM is located within the festival site between the food booths and the beer sampling area.

Can I pay for my ticket at the gate with a credit card?
Yes, credit cards (Mastercard & Visa) are accepted for the purchase of admission tickets.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
No outside food and beverage will be allowed into the event except bottled water. After all, we are going to provide plenty of opportunities to try great food and drink while you’re here!

Is Food and Drink included in my ticket price?
No food and drink is included in the ticket price. Food prices will range from about $4-$8 depending on the item purchased.

Can I leave the event and re-enter after doing so?
No, once you come into the event you cannot leave the event and come back in without re-paying.

Can I bring my children?
Definitely. We have a Family Fun Area dedicated to children including moon bounces, facepainting, airbrush tattoos, and more.

How much are children’s tickets?
Children under the age of 16 are free of charge and most of the activities in the Family Fun area are also free. No ticket is required for children to enter the event.

Can I bring my pet?
This simple answer is no, we do not allow pets except for assistance animals.

Can I leave my car overnight?
Absolutely.  Better safe then sorry!

Will there be Taxicabs available after the event?
Yes. We have alerted the local cab companies that our event is taking place and they will be on hand as available.

Can I reserve seats for any of the shows?
No, all of our entertainment is included with your entry fee and therefore reserved seats are not available. Seats for the shows are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Can I bring my own chairs, blankets, etc?
