The Northern Virginia BrewFest is a microbrew sampling festival, providing a great opportunity to try beers from different microbreweries from around the U.S. and beyond. Included in the price of admission you will receive a 6.75oz sampling glass for tasting and four (4) beer sampling tickets. You can use those tickets to purchase beers at the price of 1-2 tickets per beer, depending on how expensive your tastes are. Additional tickets can be purchased for $1 a piece. We encourage you to sample different beers and enjoy all of the tasty libations, but be careful because some of these are much stronger then what you’re used to drinking! AND, yes we have wine too - see The Lone Winery below!
Participating Breweries
We are expecting more than 40 breweries to join us on this World Beer Experience. Last year 8 new breweries joined us including Terrapin Beer Company (Rye Pale Ale) from Athens, Georgia, Gaffel, Dupont (Saison), Schneider Aventinus, Kostrizer, St. Louis Framboise, Klumbacher, Modelo and several others.
Returning breweries last year included Blue Point, Boulder, Flying Dog, Gordon Biersch, Harpoon, Clipper City, Left Hand, Raven, Sierra Nevada, Magic Hat, Victory and they will be joined by local and regional favorites such as Vintage 50, Capital City, Sweetwater Tavern, Dominion and Fordham.
A list of participating breweries will be posted in late September and updated as necessary.
Food
The food at the BrewFest will cover a wide variety of tastes all in the name of complimenting the beers. This list will include chili, wings, BBQ, pizza, burgers, dogs, and many other tasty offerings.
The Lone Winery
Anyone being dragged here by a beer junkie but not interested in beer will be pleased to find out that we will have a local Virginia winery on site to take care of your need for vino!
