The 6th Annual Northern Virginia Summer BrewFest needs many volunteers to ensure that the event is enjoyable for those who attend. The primary need is for volunteers to pour beer but there is also a need for support personnel at the gate checking tickets & ID's. In return for your time and effort each volunteer will receive entry into the festival, a BrewFest T-shirt, a souvenir tasting glass and four (4) tickets for tasting beer during your non-working hours.
As you will see, there are two volunteer shifts per day. All positions will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Every attempt will be made to fulfill your requested day/shift but, obviously, we can not put everyone to work on the same shift so please be flexible. You will be notified in early June of your assignment.
There will be a mandatory orientation prior to the start of each shift at the event site. Also, an orientation session will be held on Wednesday, June 12, beginning at 7:00 PM. The orientation will be held at The V, Virginia's Eatery & Brew House in Ashburn, Virginia. First time volunteers are expected to attend this orientation. Volunteers who have not worked at one of the 2012 Northern Virginia BrewFests (Summer or Fall) or the Summer BrewFest 2012 should attend this training too. Experienced beer pourers are welcome to attend.
NOTE: ALL volunteers MUST be at least 21 years of age.
