The Third Annual Northern Virginia Fall BrewFest needs many volunteers to ensure that the event is a huge success. The primary need is for volunteer beer pourers. You may also choose one of the other volunteer opportunities listed on the application form. In return for your efforts, each volunteer will receive entry into the event, a BrewFest T-shirt, a souvenir tasting glass, and 4 beer tickets for tasting during your non-working time at the event.
The volunteer times are broken down into two 4-hour shifts per day (Shift times: 10:30am-2:30pm or 2-6pm). All positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Every attempt will be made to fulfill wishes regarding your desired day/shift, but we obviously can¹t put everyone to work on the same shift, so please be flexible. If you are volunteering with family or friends and would like to request the same shift, please indicate this on the registration form. It helps with volunteer assignments if all members of the group sign up early/together.
There will be mandatory training for beer pourers prior to the start of each shift at the event site. We will also hold training sessions in mid-October at which light food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. It is strongly recommended that all first-time pourers attend one of these sessions as well as any experienced pourers who’d like a refresher on beer pouring rules.
Note: All volunteers must be at least 21 years old.
